I was asked to edit the magazine of Victoria Road Baptist Church, a city church of 600 members, in 1985 and set out both to improve its appearance and its content, making it both a teaching tool and a reflection of the genuine life of the fellowship. This proved to be a controversial aim! We did, however, managed to enlist over 100 church members to contribute in the 2+ years I was on the job, until I moved churches in March 1987.
