This wisdom was improvised between 1975 and 2002, and recorded between April and August 2002. It’s grains of sand that make up a beach, and the small events of a billion lives that work out God’s great purposes. Majesty in trivia. Multum in parvo. The Father cares about it all. Some events are more significant than others, mind you.

Thanks a lot to:

Simon Schultz for the loan of the Proteus. Andrew Ducat for the loan of his PC-300 keyboard. Danbury Mission for the loan of mics. Chris Spring for invaluable artistic and technical advice, and encouragement. Alvin Davies for my resonator guitar and for keeping the others in good nick. Tim McMahon for giving me the freedom to swan around being “creative”. My father, the late Geoff Garvey, for giving me music. Tim Barwood and Dave Hyde for deathless phrases, and there was a third and I’ve forgotten her name but her words will not fade away. Most of all Cynth for unstinting, unwavering etc., etc., and specifically for leaving all her jobs undone and being encouraging while I did the sound recording.

Have a nice life if we don’t meet again.
