Concert poster, June 1972.

A guy called Ed Ball decided to run a Christian arts festival along rather more Charismatic lines than was usual for the Cambridge Christian Union.

Apart from an open air concert and a play by a student, Murray Watts - with incongruous support from Gordon Giltrap - there was a roadshow of 3 different packages touring colleges to do concerts.

I was asked to get involved with one tour by Trevor Sandford of Bill Thorp's Water into Wine Band, and did a rather earthier support to their more  smoothly polished sets (as Jon Garvey's Water into Newcastle Brown Band - I knew it wouldn't catch on). Dick Skinner was a member of Footlights, who with Gordon Clark and Tim Unwin provided the comedic input of the Mad Cabaret.
